I’m trying to introduce a sippy cup to her and have been putting diluted apple juice in it. I’ve also made her popsicles made with half apple juice/ half water for hot days and to help her teething.
Its ok but its not a great idea. My doctor said hold off on juice as long as I can, its like candy for babies. My sister has 3 kids 6,4 and 2. The older two had juice sooner, but with the youngest he just started to drink it. She knew that once he had it he would never want milk or water.
It will not neccasarily hurt the baby but you may have trouble giving her anything else. Also, its not good for the teeth.

If I drink too much apple juice or sprite it causes my kidneys to hurt. Does anyone know why this is?
because they are both diuretics.
diuretics are things that make you process your fluid quicker. eg: alcohol, coffee, apple juice
and when you drink alot of diuretics, it puts ur kidneys into overdrive and under strain

I love OJ, apple juice, and what not; but I dont care for the actual fruit itself. Am I missing out on something by drinking the juice instead?
Alot of companies add all sorts of weird dyes and sugars to your juice. At least if you are going to drink it buy ones that have no additives.
You really should eat fruits. Eating them in the raw and not processed is always the best way to get nutrients! Get a juicer and make your own!

Can i lose weight by by eating only apple and drinking only apple juice and water for like three or seven days?, and how many pounds or kilos i may lose?
I’m talking here from experience.
I don’t recomdend you do that. That is called Juice fast but is very dangerous. Drinking too much liquids on an empty stomach can kill you. And coming off of a fast can kill you.
I was hospitalized because I tried to lose weight with fasting. One of my regular routines was fasting for 5 days at a time. Even though it was only 5 days when I picked something up to eat again I got Refeeding Syndrome. Refeeding Syndrome is when you start eating again after eating little or none at all and your body doesn’t take it well.
Refeeding Syndrome can kill you. I was in the hospital for almost 2 wks because of it.
Fasting is the worst way to lose weight. As well as eating underneath 1200 calories. If you do that you might develope an eating disorder and 1 out of every 5 people with eating disorders die.
Fasting is a terrible way to lose weight. So many things can go wrong. A human can only live for 4 wks without food. And if you are gong 7 days that’s endangering you life a lot.
You should only fast underneath special supervision by a doctor or dietitian and that’s only for reasons such as religion or medical reasons.
I am saying this because I have been there and done that and have seen many girls do the same. And trust me when I say that fasting is very very dangerous. And even if you don’t think you are harmed by it you very well could be. I didn’t know that I had harmed my body that much until the doctor checked it over. I didn’t feel sick or hurt or anything but I had hurt my body a lot by fasting for only 5 days at a time.

I have some apple juice and I thought you could have it ferment and after a while have it become alcoholic. is this possible or was that already done..minus the alcoholic part?
If you have unfiltered fresh squeezed apple juice, you have to do nothing. There are enough natural yeasts present in the juice to turn it into hard cider within a week or so.

My son will be four months old on the eigth. he’s been sick and my mother in law gave him some apple juice the other day while she was babysitting him. i got kind of upset about it because i don’t know if his stomach can digest apple juice yet because he’s so young.
she also gave him raspberry tea.
i’m just wondering if i was right when i got mad and said he was too young to handle that stuff.
anyone know for sure?
How is it that almost every single mother in laws are morons? Just dont leave your baby alone with her again. I wouldnt even leave the room for a minute with my fiancee’s mom, she keeps saying "give the baby some food!" (she’s 16 weeks old!)

My son has occasional constipation now that we have him on formula. Can anyone tell me how much prune/apple juice they have given their children to help them go? 1oz? Diluted with any water? I bought the Heinz baby brand. I am more comfortable giving my son juice rather than sugar water.
I depends upon how old he is, and how is body reacts to it. If he has never had juice before, you would want to water it down, 1/2 juice, 1/2 H2O. You need to experiment, to see how much he needs to produce a bowel movement. I would start at 2 oz. (1 H2O, 1 juice), and work up to 4 oz. (2 + 2).
If that doesn’t work, you should talk to your doctor about other options, such as changing formula.

I’ve been drinking apple juice for a while now and haven’t paid attention to the label. I just took a look at the label on apple juice compared to Pepsi, and everything is practically the same for 8 oz. Sugar, carbs, sodium. I can’t believe this! Any thoughts?
Same amount of calories too!!
Yes, the fruit juices are just as bad as the sodas. I recently found out I am diabetic and fruit juices is one of the items I am no longer aloud to drink. To drink a fruit drink I will need to make it myself using real fruit. Most people think that the fruit juices are ‘healthier’ for you, when in fact they are not.

There has been an ongoing debate as to whether Kombucha is a magic portion or a useless and even toxic drink. Scientists from all over the world have started to make research after research trying to reveal the mystery behind this ancient beverage. Thousands of years ago, people started drinking Kombucha and there is historic evidence to back it up. Kombucha has been reported to help against a large number of diseases, as a matter of fact, the number is so large that people get sceptical over it.
The Kombucha tea is gaining popularity all over the country at a tremendous pace. Now, with the trend of living and eating healthy, the growing interest in Kombucha seems quite normal as more and more people are turning to traditional medicine based on herbs. Some reporsts say that right now, more than three million Americans are growing the fungi.
When it gets fermented, Kombucha creates a sparkling beverage, similar to wine and apple juice in taste. Friends of the drink claim that it improves vitality, raises T-cell numbers, lowers blood pressure, eases aches and pains of arthritis. Others thouhg, share the opinion that it’s nothing more than a marketing trick and could even be dangerous.
Paul Stamets who works as a mycologist in Olympia, Washington says the following regarding Kombucha
“This is potent stuff and the risk for contamination is high. It could be a fabulous addition to drug therapies, but we have little idea of what it is, no idea what its side effects are and no doubt that it can become contaminated by spores in the air. You could kill yourself or your friends with a contaminated culture.”
The Fedeal Food and Drug Administration has not received a single report of adverse reactions related to Kombucha
Bottom line is that if Kombucha is not properly cultivated, there is a serious risk of contamination, so it’s important that you are able to acquire a safe Kombucha. The drink definitely works, since so many people are crazy about it, but it’s of critical importance to cultivate it carefully with the necessary know-how.
You can make Kombucha tea in your home at a really low cost. The entire preparation process is quite easily if you know what you’re doing. When you work clean and add the required substances in the right direction, there is no doubt that you will have an excellent Kombucha beverage. If you are following proven instructions, you can definitely produce a tasty and effective drink without any health risks involved.

I’m 36 wkd today and I was just wondering if it’s safe to drink apple juice that is concentrated? is it going to harm my baby? because I know not to drink unpasturized apple juice what about concentrate?
It’s absolutely okay. Concentrated just means they shipped the juice in a dehydrated form and then rehydrated it at the other end. There’s nothing it in that could hurt the fetus.
