Is fruit juice a good substitue for real fruit?

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

I love OJ, apple juice, and what not; but I dont care for the actual fruit itself. Am I missing out on something by drinking the juice instead?

Alot of companies add all sorts of weird dyes and sugars to your juice. At least if you are going to drink it buy ones that have no additives.

You really should eat fruits. Eating them in the raw and not processed is always the best way to get nutrients! Get a juicer and make your own!

What’s the best kind of fruit juice to buy? Or should I make it myself?

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

I like the taste of most fruit, but I hate the texture of them!

I love grapes, but I end up sucking the juice out and spitting the rest out.

I like apples, but I hate the way they feel when I chew on them.

So, my question, what is the best (and preferably cheapest) fruit juice to buy? Or should I just buy the fruit myself and make it, which I’d really prefer not to do, because I’d have to spend extra money on a juicer and waiste the rest of the fruit.

make it your self
too many chemicals and sugars in store bought juice
it’s bad for you

Will having only fruit juice for breakfast lower my metabolism rate?

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

I’ve been trying having only fruit juice (using a juicer) for breakfast and I want to know what’s the downside to it.

It’s possible to speed up your metabolism naturally, using herbs and teas — there’s a free report at the site below, that might help you out and offset any slowing down that comes with your juice-only breakfast.

Don’t Buy your Juice – Make it

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Remember a few years ago when the only juice you could find at the store was V8 and a selection of citrus juices? Now you can practically spend an hour in the store just deciding from which juice to choose. There’s protein juice blends, antioxidant blends, blueberry, apple, pomegranate, blends with green tea added. Not only do you have all the different types of juices and juice blends, but you have the different brands to choose from. And, don’t think it’s cheap. You can easily spend over $4 for just one 16 oz. bottle.

Now, imagine if you can take that $4 and, instead of spending it on the expensive store-bought juice, save it for your own juicer where you can make your own fresh juice each day. It may take a few months of savings to do it, but in the long run you’d not only be saving money, but also drinking a higher-quality product, your own fresh fruit and vegetable juice.

How healthy is juice? To get to the heart of why juice is good for you, it’s important to note that cooking can cause the loss of up to 97% of water-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. Therefore, fresh juice from raw fruits and vegetables provides you with more vitamins and minerals, as well as protein, carbohydrates, and essential fatty acids that can be absorbed quickly and efficiently.

Fresh juice also contains necessary enzymes, and pigments such as carotenes, chlorophyll, and flavonoids. In addition, juicing helps jump-start your body’s digestive process and enables quick absorption of high-quality nutrition, which can result in increased energy.

Did you notice what word kept popping up in the above paragraphs? “Fresh.” Sure you can go to the store and buy the prepared bottled juices. But, a bottle of juice that’s been sitting for days on a store shelf isn’t exactly fresh, now is it? Some research suggests that the enzyme activity in juice just 30 minutes old is almost one-half that of freshly-juiced juices. Also, with fresh juicing there are no preservatives or processing that strips most of the energy from the fruit. Your juice is as fresh as the fruits and vegetables you started with.

Now, in case you were thinking you would just dust off the old blender and make your juice with it, take note: A blender just isn’t the same thing. To get all the benefits of juicing fruits and vegetables, you need to be able to process all parts of the food – including seeds, stems, peels and pulp. That’s where all the vitamins are. A blender just can’t do that effectively.

But, aren’t juicers expensive? Certainly some can be. You can buy a LEquip Pulp Ejector for just over $100, which is a great budget juicer to buy. If you have a little more money to spend, the Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite is considered one of the best juicers at just under $300. Other juicer brands you might want to take a look at include Omega and Champion.

It is important to note that juicing does remove the fiber from nutrient-dense foods. So be sure to include fiber-rich foods in your daily diet. Juicing should be a complement to a well-balanced healthy diet, never a substitute.

Do you know any good juice recipes?

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

I just got a juicer. I want to juice odd things like celery, potatoes, and other vegetables. I know that there are recipes out there where certain fruits are used to disguise the nasty taste of vegetable juice. Do you know of any?

I stared at this question for awhile and asked myself, why would anyone buy something that makes something that you need to disguise what it makes. Don’t get me wrong I understand the health benefits of juicing, I too own 2 juicers myself and they’re still in the box, Gifts. Go to your local bookstore and they have lots of books with recipes that are tested. If someone gives you a recipe that contains sardines and cumquat’s skip over it. juice away!

How long will juice made with a juicer be good?

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

I make my juice every morning before leaving the house. However, clean up always has to wait until I get home, and the noise bugs my wife and kids @ 5:45 in the morning. I would like to know, generally, how long fresh juice is good for.

probably a couple of days maximum… The reason store bought juice lasts is because of the pasteurization process…

I would say a max of 2 days in a nice cold fridge in an airtight container… but nothing longer than that

Your love & support for the liferegenerator is infinitely appreciated: http://bit.ly/1HBxQC

— 10 Apples
— 1 bunch Wild Plantain
— 1 bunch Cylinder Beets

* P r e p a r a t i o n *
— 1) Run all of the ingredients through your Breville juicer, or whatever the best juicer is for you. http://bit.ly/mIrEW

— You say the liferegenerator is back? Well I never left, baby! :D

— If you can pick your fruits and harvest your herbs shortly before eating or juicing them, that is ideal!! They will still be vibrating with the life current as you put them into your body.

— I picked these apples from a local tree, and I found this wild plantain near where I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Plantain is one of the most powerful & healing herbs that you can find naturally growing wild in this part of the country! It will build your blood like nothing else.

— On the liferegenerator channel, real food is fun food! And it will guide you back to the “one” food up above…the Universe…God…whatever or whomever you prefer to call it. ;)

— If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, then join me on this fruit & vegetable path to the light of life!

— Instead of thinking that you are on some weirdo diet or some elitist raw food diet, how about approaching it from the the standpoint of what it really is….which is a fruit and vegetable diet!

— I am so happy that some of you are losing so much excess weight, and that many of you are feeling more healthy again! Isn’t it awesome to be doing so well? Just know that no matter what happens, I won’t let anyone stop the liferegenerator, and I will fight for the life of the fruits & vegetables. We all got you covered!

— So I have good news for those who live in the Seattle, Washington area! I’m going to be teaching a juicing class at one of the local raw food restaurants here called Thrive, next Sunday, September 20th from 9.30-11.30 AM. They don’t have it up on their website quite yet, but it will cost $35 (if you sign up *please* say that you were referred by me, as that helps me out…thanks!). Or better yet, just let me know directly that you want to sign up, and I will take care of it from there! I am very excited about this class as I love to just share the simplicity of fruits and vegetables to everyone!

— Eating fruits and vegetables that are freshly picked is truly eating and drinking the LIVING food, the bio-regenerative food. Look for the NOW foods, the fresh, living & vital foods.

— This channel is built upon love for life, fruits, vegetables & one another! Keep on coming back to visit us, and keep on improving your health!

— The more fresh, locally grown & organic fruits and vegetables that you can consume (especially in lieu of unhealthier foods), the healthier you will continue to feel, and many of you are only just getting started!

— If more of us across the country make known our demand for fresh, local & organic produce, the easier it will become to get these foods, and the lower in price will they get.

— Do you want our nation to spend trillions of dollars that we don’t have on the sick care industry, or should we instead spend the millions that we have on just getting healthy through the amazing power of fruits and vegetables? Let’s create a demand for organic foods grown in rich, healthy soiil!

— For those who are interested in going even further with their detox, you can begin to consider the possibility of doing a 1-day water fast no more often than 1x/week to start…later graduating up to a 3-day water fast no more than 1x/month. Water fasting is not as difficult as it sounds! You will probably learn that what we think is ‘hunger’ is actually more along the lines of mental conditioning.

— Regardless, even if we all just stay steadily detoxing on the fruits and vegetables together, just remember that we may experience really up/high days, as well low days. Or, you could have a really great week of high energy, followed by a really lousy, cranky and tired one. What’s important here is to just keep on pressing on! Just let yourself be however you feel, and be at peace with it. You never want to quit. You never want to give up!
