Like on Gatorade it says Natural Lemn and Lime Flavors ont te front of bottle, buton back it says contains no fruit juice, and ingredients do not say what the naturalflavors are made of.
It could be an extract of lemon or lime, and it could be an artificial flavor. But an actual extract would be expensive. To say it is a natural flavor, the artificial type would have to be the same chemical that’s in real juice, just made artificially for cost reasons.
Either way, would supply natural flavor without actual juice which contains fruit sugar and maybe some pulp.

I have a chicken recipe that calls for 1/4 lemon juice. I’m assuming this is lemon juice from the bottle.
Can I use regular, fresh lemons instead?
THANK YOU FOR GREAT ANSWERS!

I bought a refrigerated bottle of orange juice with the pulp. I won’t drink it all any time soon and would like to freeze it. Will it freeze properly?
If there is like half a bottle left, go ahead and freeze it in the bottle.
Urban Ledgends at http://www.snopes.com has some info on the unsubstantiated thought that people can get cancer from plastic bottles. This is not true!!
when ready to drink your frozen juice, allow it to thaw and shake well.

I just drank a bottle of fruit juice and it said it had apple, mange and banana, but I didn’t think bananas had juice?
Its not juice, it’s pulp. You will notice they only use banana in 2% or so of the drink – that way it doesn’t get too thick. So it is finely finely finely mashed banana.

I have a juicer and i make my fresh apple juice. I get this moist pulp afterwards which i end up throwing away. I’m thinking of cooking with it but i can’t fine any recipes. Any suggestions? It has the same consistency as squished bananas, can i make a bread with it just as you can make banana bread using bananas?
How about using it as a pie filling. Yummm "0)
OH…I just found this too:

When I go to the grocery store, I saw a bottle of apple cider and a bottle of apple juice. I bought them, and they tasted exactly the same. Am I missing something?
"Cider" is what you get when you take a bunch of fresh apples and put them through a blender. Cider is unprocessed and appears dark, brown, and cloudy and usually contains the pulp of the apple. If you then take this cider and process it to clarify the juice, you get "apple juice".

I am following a one day juice detox and am interested to know how many calories I am consuming. Does anyone know how you calculate calories for this? Do you base it on the whole vegetable or fruit or is it less becuse there will be no pulp. I am not trying to monitor or restrict my intake particularly but just curious as I would like to have juices on other days when I am eating normally. Maybe I could measure the juice output but that would be quite fiddly to do and wonder if there is an easier way.
I have been juicing carrots, apples, pears, oranges and lemons.
Hmmm toughie, I suppose thats why you dont have any answers. What you have to remember here is that your turning a solid into liquid, but not extracting its natural water content. I personally would calculate the calorific content of juice by counting for the whole fruit or veg. If anything you’ll over calculate, not over calculate and misjudge you calorie intake for that day. Remember to add the calorie and fat if your using icecream or yoghurt as a liquid aid for the juice though.

When you use a juice extractor, it takes roughly 5 whole fruits to make 1 glass of juice. So does that 1 glass of juice count as 5 daily servings of fruits and vegetables or just 1?
no. 1 glass doesn’t count as 5 servings. 1 glass (8 oz) would count as one serving. it just takes more juice because it’s only taking the juice and not the pulp. your body needs the pulp because it supplies lots of nutrients and vitamins for your body along with fiber.

100% Fruit. Hand Picked. Nectar, from Latin word nektar or “drink of the gods” is defined as a beverage of fruit juice and pulp. Fruit nectars are very popular in Italy and throughout Europe. They have a much higher fruit content since they are made with fruit puree. Most European nectars are very thick and are often diluted with water, while bionatur organic Fruit Nectars have been formulated to be delicious alone or with water added. The fruit nectars are produced using hand-harvested heirloom variety fruits from select regions of Italy. The flavor of heirloom fruit is sweet, intense and true. The nectars combine fruit juice with fruit pure for a thicker, distinctly different flavor without added sugar or water. The resulting beverage tastes exactly like the fruit from which it is derived and is not too sweet or pulpy. bionatur organic Fruit Nectars are a result of decades of research and development with fruit beverages. They are distinctive and extraordinary beverages of the truest fruit flavor.
