How do I get lemon juice out of my hair?

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Okay, I am thinking about putting lemon juice in my hair. Would it be safe for anyone, because my little sis wants to do it and she is 6. Also, if I do put it in and I don’t like it, then how do I get it out. And what is the youngest age you have to be to put it in your hair?

Putting lemon juice in your hair is perfectly fine, it helps if your out laying by the pool, it lets the sun take natural highlight action on your hair. It comes out when you shampoo, ive done it a hundred times, its never caused any damage, and you can do it any age.

What can i mix lemon juice with for my hair?

Monday, February 8th, 2010

I’ve been thinking of putting lemon juice in my hair just to make it a bir brighter.

But apparently staright lemon juice can be really bad for hair.

Is there anything i can mix it with to lessen the strength? Like conditioner maybe?

Dilute 50/50 water and lemon juice then after you’ve let the sun activate it (about 2 hours) put in a deep conditioner.

How do you use lemon juice in your hair to make it lighter?

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

I have dirty blonde hair and I want to lighten it before the summer. I know that lemon juice makes your hair lighter (my friend used it) but I don’t want my hair to get really dry or damaged. How can I prevent my hair from getting dry? And how do I apply the lemon juice? Do I have to dilute it?

what you do is use the juice from 1 whole lemon, and 1 cup of water.
you could put a little splash of hydrogen peroxide in there if you want to get faster results, but if you’re worried about it getting damaged i wouldn’t.

put the lemon and water into a spray bottle, like and empty windex bottle or something. just make sure u wash it good first.

spray evenly all over the outside layer of your hair and brush it through until it’s as wet as you want it to be.

go outside IN THE SUN (it doesn’t work w/ out sun.) until hair is about 80% dry. after you come inside you can blowdry it then shower, or just go straight to the shower.

be sure to use a deep conditioner in the shower, or just leave your regular conditioner on it for a long time.

if you usually style it: you should probably do this on a weekend, w/ out plans, so that when you get out of the shower you don’t have to do anything to it and let it dry on it’s own.

you also might have to do this about 3 times before you notice anything, but be sure to keep it at least 1 week apart so it doesn’t damage your hair. i noticed some difference the 1st time i even did it though. it really doesn’t dry it out as bad as people say if you do it right.

good luck with it!! hope i helped some.

Does lemon juice lighten your hair when you just blow dry it?

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

I know it does when you sit in the sun, but it’s cloudy today… Does lemon juice work with a blow drier too, like sun in does?
I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but I have medium-lightish blonde hair and I want it just a few shades lighter.

no. lemon juice lightens ur hair after a few weeks. but it doesnt work unless you stay out in the sun. it takes time and also be careful cause it can damage your hair if you don’t take care of it. but you need to put it in everyday (w/ water or else ur hair will get all gross) and then sit out in the sun for a long time ( be out in the sun most of the day or for about 2-4 hours)

hope this helped you

=D

Does lemon juice really work to lighten brown spots on your face?

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

I have brown spots from the sun and aging and I can’t afford expensive creams from the dermatologist. I researched and heard about lemon juice; anyone try that and it worked?

Lemon jucie does lighten dark spots. Be careful if you have sensitive skin, but otherwise it’s alright. Just apply it directly to the spots alone.
Masks and bleaching agents from the stores are loaded with chemicals that are far more drying or unhealthy for your skin than lemon juice.

LEMON JUICE ?

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

i was searching the net
and found out that lemon juice makes hair lighter
i am naturally light brown, with natural highlights
i dyed it dark Chocolate and it went red TWICE
ive used the lemon juice with conditioner will i go lighter?
less red? ginger?

lemon juice does indeed work for blondes, i would not put it on dark hair, especially hair thats been color treated who knows what chemical reaction you’ll get.

thing is in order for it to work you need to mix it with peroxide, and add sunlight or atleast heat (blow dry it) but really it only works well in the sun.

How does lemon juice work in brunette hair?

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

I’m wanting to lighten my hair, where it looks nice, but doesn’t look cheap. And I’ve heard that lemon juice does lighten the hair, but I’m not sure how it would look with my brunette hair. I have really dark hair.

Anyone out there that has tried this, and knows what will happen to my hair if I were to put lemon juice on it?

I tried that yesterday with my friend. My hair is dark brown and people say its black but w/e. I was in the sun for about 45 minutes. I didnt really see a difference in my hair, I guess you’ll have to continue doing it for a few days. I also noticed that it attracts bugs…ughh.
